About ME
I am a new teacher that brings excitement to his content area. I consistently strive to build professional relationships with students in need of someone to believe in their ability to excel at whatever they put their minds to, because I see them as an individual and not just a student or a grade. I bring innovative activities to the classroom to help the students achieve their goals in various ways. From creating a children’s book, creating a 20 minute lessons to teach to their fellow classmate’s, even the ability to get students to discuss issues from the content and connecting it to today, common core is a bench mark of what I strive for in the classroom.
I was born in raised in a small family community in the Southeast corner of Idaho. A little town called Grace where you know everyone and they know you. I learned the value of a hard day’s work on a farm where the work ethic and constant drive to succeed was bred into me. On top of my employers ability to get the best from me, my parents and teachers both pushed me to excel and to become more than I thought I was able to become. I enjoy playing and competing in just about any sport with an emphasis on basketball, which I look to play as often as I possibly can. I enjoy the outdoors, whether its hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, hiking and camping.
I was raised in a family of 6 children, 2 sisters and 3 brothers where you learn quick that not everything is going to be handed to you and it was there that I learned that to be successful in anything you do it takes time, effort, diligence and a willingness to adapt to the circumstances placed before you.
I have been married going on 9 years and have a little boy named Kade who is 5, and a daughter Rylee who is 2. I strive to be the type of person that both my wife and children can be proud of, which is one of my driving forces to be successful.
I am constantly trying to learn new things for the classroom and implement new teaching strategies and techniques to improve my teaching because I know that no matter how much I think I may know there is always room to improve and become better at my craft just like how professional athletes work hard every day to perfect and master their craft I try to do the same.
I am also planning on continuing my own education by setting the goal to have my master’s degree finished within the next 4-5 years. I believe that I cannot expect my students to push themselves to do better and achieve more if I am not willing to do the same and achieve more than what I thought myself possible.
